Hailing from Nakusp, BC, and having recently returned to Canada after spending 4 years splitting time between Texas & Tennessee, Mitch Zorn is primed to take over the Canadian Country Music Scene. With over 10 years experience playing stages across Canada and the U.S., Mitch has quite the resume for an up and comer. Most notably, Mitch appeared on CBC news for his single “Humboldt,” a cut he penned in 2018 to commemorate the 16 lives lost in the tragic accident. Since then, Mitch has released a full studio EP and has another on the way
Mitch also has a deep love for song writing, with lyricism that sets him apart. With a knack for finding meaning in the mundane, Mitch writes about his life and the stories he’s collected along the way. Growing up, Mitch grew his roots in folk music idealizing song writing greats such as Jason Isbell, Jim Croce, and Jackson Browne. However, as he has developed as a songwriter, he has reimagined the storytelling of folk music, by combining it with the melodies found in contemporary country to create a sound that is truly his own.
