Emerging Toronto-based singer-songwriter Molly Annelle, is back with a stylish new live performance video for her new single “Dior”, which you can watch exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below. 

The video, directed by Lindsey Blane (Arkells, Lights, Monstercat) and produced by Andy Bishop, was shot at the 604 Records studio space in Vancouver and showcases the 18-year-old’s soulful vocals in a purple-infused dreamland.

“This was my first-time singing Dior somewhat ‘live’, without all the bells and whistles of the studio. It was so exciting for me to be able to sing this new song fresh from its creation. Vocally, it is a really fun track to sing as there is so much room within it to play,” said Annelle.

Annelle’s journey is one that began at the age of five, when the Vancouver-based artist penned her very first song — the uncannily entitled “Obscure Bird”. Four years later, at nine-years-old, she was named Young Composer of the Year, writing four-part harmonies for the Vancouver Chamber Choir. Encouraged by family and teachers alike, the young musician found her voice in the kind of honest lyricism and devoted storytelling which has continued to set her apart.
